Artist Residencies
(2022 - Ongoing)

To date Voluminous Arts has partnered with two high profile arts organizations in New York; Kaje Projects and the Center for Art Research and Alliances, to develop and facilitate innovative artist residencies for trans and non-binary artists working in interdisciplinary and experimental creative media. These residencies have provided trans and non-binary artists with the opportunity to practice curation at a professional level, engage in research, and expand the possibilities of their creative and community building visions.

In addition, Voluminous Arts’ artist residencies provide a pathway for institutions to connect with the vital, innovative and emerging contemporary art forms being created within trans communities. This reciprocal exchange expands the creative possibilities of the artists-in-residence while advancing the missions of institutions who have made a commitment to more equitable representation of trans voices in arts and culture.
